Music from my debut album "Dress Rehearsal": Song for a Lost Friend - Have you ever felt guilty, or ashamed, or angry, or regretful over losing a childhood friend? Ever wondered what it could have been like if you had done things differently? I bet a lot of us have lost someone and not known how to deal with it, or how to deal with ourselves in the aftermath of that loss. Play a Clip (works with quicktime, realplayer, and windows media player). Terrorist Attraction - The heart of the beast is ourselves. The law of attraction is undeniable, and given the filth that we have already brought to us, it’s time to go on the offensive and turn things around. A festive verbal smackdown to your crazy mind, for all you Terrorist Attractions! Smile for Me, Baby! - Sometimes it's nice to confess, to just let it all hang out about how ludicrous I can be. Ever thought that about yourself? I'm finding it can be powerful and funny to admit my own faults, even exaggerate them, and it can be joyful to be childish. So, smile for me, baby! Music to Groove to - Caught up worried about the world’s problems? Does it look like everything out there is just screwed up? Perhaps it’s really something personal going on instead. Perhaps you just need to "find your music to groove to!" Place to Stay - At the end of the day, don't we each long to be up to something that has value and meaning for us? Don't we long to find a purpose that inspires us and gives us fulfillment? I call that finding your Place to Stay. Play a Clip(works with quicktime, realplayer, and windows media player). Walk It Up - Life: It’s what’s for dinner. The clock is ticking, and it’s all unfolding before our eyes. So get ready for your wake up anthem. "You gotta walk it up, you gotta talk it up, you gotta face up to your fear and then just not give up!" Like the Morning Cock Crows - When I was younger I used to blame others for things going on in my life, and especially how I reacted to everything. But as I got older I started to see that it wasn’t them, it was me. And by starting to take responsibility, I reached a new plane of awareness in which I could really coast along, a certain steadiness. It’s almost like learning to breath again, or perhaps like really experiencing the freshness of morning for the first time in a long while. Playing Your Games - Try fitting a square peg into a round hole and all you get is a lot of bruises. That’s something I’m learning the hard way. As I grow up, I’m seeing that it’s important that I be true to myself, and that I play the games I want to play. Because playing someone else’s games and forgetting my own is just kinda ridiculous. Bolden Up, Mouse! - I’ve definitely had the experience of needing some courage in a moment where I pretty much wanted to hide, maybe you have too. This time I forgot the spinach, so instead I brought the mouse. Play a Clip(works with quicktime, realplayer, and windows media player). Three Days in the Rain - Let's face it. Sometimes life really seems to suck. Do you know what I’m talking about? And when life sucks, it seems unending, doesn't it? Yet capturing the experience of it in words can offer a perspective, and the determination to break through it can be inspiring. Because eventually, the rain, rain will go away... The Beauty Inside - Imagine this: nothing can stop you from moving forward in your life. In a moment of healing, I saw the shell of misery start to loosen its grip around me, and I welcomed the transition as it fell away, like a discarded layer of skin. Connect to The Beauty Inside. Song for a Lost Friend Instrumental - There’s a truth that can be conveyed in the space beyond words, where music evokes something deep in us. Those friends who have left us remain with us anyway, and memories of them resonate deeply within, forever impacting us... The Sign - "Let me tell you about a fight between good an evil..." Perhaps the real villains of life are internal. I used to stay inside my head a lot, contemplating life from an outlook trapped in fear and pride. Now I’m starting to see that the willingness to be BAD at this game can precede the ability to be GOOD at it. Play a Clip(works with quicktime, realplayer, and windows media player). | |
